Dr. Amit Singhal is a Senior Principal Investigator at the A*STAR Infectious Diseases Labs (ID labs), Singapore. He chair’s A*STAR’s BSL3 biosafety committee and is a member of Singapore’s Ministry of Health biosafety task force. His research focuses on understanding the mechanisms utilized by pathogens for evading host’s immuno-metabolic signaling. The information gained from these investigations are being exploited for designing clinically relevant host-directed therapies. His current research is supported by grants from the NMRC-Singapore and NIH-USA.
