Dr Isabelle Foo

Dr Isabelle Foo is a Research Fellow at the Peter Doherty Institute of Infection and Immunity at the University of Melbourne. She currently leads her studies on immunity to influenza viruses in Professor Katherine Kedzierska Laboratory. Isabelle completed her PhD at the University of Melbourne investigating the immunology and neuropathology of influenza and arbovirus co-infections. Isabelle’s work has been recognised by prestigious awards, presentations at national and international conferences. Currently, Isabelle’s research focuses on discovering immune drivers of severe influenza disease in young children and human co-infections. She also has special interest in human immunity to vaccination, anti-viral immunity to encephalitic arboviral infections, and neuroimmunology.
